LCRA is repairing a break in a Camp Swift Regional Wastewater System line that broke May 8, discharging about 30,000 gallons of untreated sewage into Lake Tuck, a small private lake in rural Bastrop County.
LCRA notified the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) of the spill. There was no threat to a water supply and the spill was too small to meet the criteria outlined by TCEQ for public notification. Therefore, area residents do not need to boil water or take any other actions.
LCRA will monitor conditions of the private 24-acre lake and nearby Piney Creek.
